Is there an action resolution system for Tabletop RPG’s that can deliver climatic, raising and falling tension with each throw of the dice? I think there is, but the inspiration came not from classic Pen & Paper RPG’s, but instead from the dark, booze fueled floors of the Casino!
Ranger’s Favored Enemy is not a good class mechanic. Animal Companion is a better one. Also spellcasting should be an archetype feature, not a class feature. Finally, move Ranger away from Fighter and closer to Rogue.
